Our Titan Defender Rear Step is a bespoke high quality stainless steel Defender NAS rear step alternative. It has incredible strength due to its 8mm thick construction and meticulous build process. Prior to construction, all metal parts of our Defender rear step are edge linished on every single laser cut edge. This is not found elsewhere on the market and gives a nice, substantial smooth radius on all edges, not only for a superior finish in touch, but also to increase paint longevity. We believe that there is no point in buying high value stainless steel items if they are metal finished to the same standard as cheap generic, mild steel products.
Four years of design and development have been untaken to bring you our Defender Titan rear step as you see it today. We have spent endless hours, testing, pulling, designing & fabricating through multiple prototypes. inspired by the Defender NAS Rear Step, we wanted to make something with the same strength & usability, but with a unique design. The Titan Rear Step is capable of pulling or with-standing 3500KG of weight.

Additional Information:
The step position is 150mm down from the floor of the boot, which aids entering or exiting the rear of the vehicle. The treadplate consists of two layers. The main treadplate housing which is 8mm thick and CNC machined. The top plate finishers which are connected via threaded hole and M3 button head bolts. The twin layering of the treadplate and use of bolts gives good surface grip when stood on.
The Titan Rear Step fits 110 & 90 Defenders in the same way except for the struts underneath that connect back to the chassis legs. You can see the 90 & 110 struts and their differences in the last photo. (90s have straight struts) (110s have angled struts). Select your model from the drop down menu.
The Titan rear step comes as a base model and has the ability for attachments to be connected to it. There are two recovery attachments available to purchase alongside the rear step (see drop down "Attachments" menu) & (Attachment description below)
We glass bead blast the bumper prior to paint for superior paint adhesion. Glass bead blasting is a time consuming and costly process, more so than other types of blasting. However glass bead blasting is one of the only medias that can be used on stainless steel to key/clean it prior to paint.

- 23mm Hole & WARN shackle:
This consists of a 23mm diameter tow eye hole made from a 20mm thick tow eye plate and 10mm thick base. Similarly, these items, also fully made from stainless steel, receive full rounding/sanding on every laser-cut edge before assembly. We meticulously prepare the welded areas with V plate prepping, plate welding, and rear plugging to guarantee a solid bind. Additionally, we CNC machine a 5mm radius on either side of the inner tow eye hole for a smooth finish. This hole is classified as a general-use hook/rope hole. The inner tow eye hole has a 5mm radius CNC machined on either side of it for a smooth finish.
Included is a WARN epic shackle with a capacity of 8 tonnes pulling force. This has a 22mm diameter pin that fits into the 23mm diameter tow eye hole.
We have made our own HD rubber washers to fit inside the shackle between the pin and the body. This means that the shackle does not swing when driving and also reduces rubbing during operational movement. (The shackle is made from forged steel with a heavy duty "e-coating". See last photos to see what the different attachments look like.
- 38mm General Hook Hole:
This consists of a 38mm diameter tow eye hole made from a 20mm thick tow eye plate and 10mm thick base. These items, constructed entirely from stainless steel, undergo full rounding/sanding on every laser-cut edge before assembly. We thoroughly prepare the welded areas with V plate prepping, plate welding, and rear plugging to ensure a solid bind. We include 4 x M16 hi tensile blackened Bumax bolts, washers, and nuts for attaching the item to the Titan rear step. The inner tow eye hole has a 5mm radius CNC machined on either side of it for a smooth finish. This is classed as a general use hook / rope hole. Spare Wheel Carrier Compatibility:
This item fits with "Standard Genuine LR," "Mantec" & "Britpart" swing away spare wheel carriers. The only single wheel arm carriers that this item will work with is the "Front Runner" or "Nakatanenga" Single arm carrier. Please contact us if you have either of these single arm wheel carriers as we need to make one small modification to our rear step before it is painted.
