Description:
The Land Rover Defender Stealth Side Steps are made from 3mm stainless steel box section compared to standard 1.5mm tubular sidesteps. This gives an increase in strength with a slightly higher ground clearance. Finished with a premium CNC machined, hardened composite treadplate that is made to outlast anti-slip coated alternatives & standard plastic injection molded treadplates. Our Defender 90 & 110 Sidesteps fit with original Land Rover sills, Uproar 4x4 Rocksliders & Titan Sills.
These Defender sidesteps have 35mm drainage holes on the underside and sleek tapered ends that are open ended for ease of cleaning. All visible design slots, drainage holes & mounting brackets are hand finished with a nice radius on every laser-cut edge. All visible surfaces are semi polished to remove imperfections & pitting. These extremely time consuming processes gives our steps a superior smooth finish, improving the paint uniformity & life, dramatically.
Treadplates:
Our Defender sidestep treadplates are CNC machined from hardened composite. Standard LR treadplates are made via plastic injection molding, which over time fades, warps and goes brittle. CNC Machining from bespoke composite, eliminates all these problem but increases production costs substantially. However, for the purpose of longevity, we wanted to create a treadplate that does not deteriorate like the original or brake & flake off like brittle coated alternatives.
