Description:
Our Defender Half NAS rear step is made from 3mm thick Stainless Steel tube & 6mm chassis mounting brackets. Made from larger diameter & thicker tube than standard, our Defender rear step also has 11 mounting points for maximum strength. Usability has been improved due to our step protruding an additional inch from the back of the crossmember compared to standard. Finally we have added more robust fixed outer arm brackets that improve the strength of the full crossmember by spreading the load across the entire NAS step.
We supply our Defender NAS steps with custom made Hex Head Bumax 109 316L Stainless Hi-Tensile bolts. These bolts are the equivalent strength & design as the original 10.9 Hi-Tensile Steel bolts from Land Rover. Therefore there is no need to worry regarding legality or failure if you have rear seat seat belt mounts attached to your chassis. Installing any of our NAS Rear steps only increases the strength of this mounting location. (Bolts used in the photos are for display purposes only)
Finishing our step off is a high quality CNC machined, hardened composite treadplate & Stainless steel finisher. Our treadplate is 30mm thick and will not deteriorate, warp or fade like the standard cheap rubber or foam options available. This treadplate sits above the level of the tube to stop you repeatedly treading on the coating. The metal finisher is available in Satin black or Raw 316 B2 Finish Stainless Steel.
We give you the option to add Jacking points to your Defender NAS rear step. Our Jacking points are 25mm thick, fully functional & CNC machined with a beautiful radius on both the outside & inside of the item. They are also scalloped out on the rear side to the correct curve of the tube, pre-weld. These precise finishes and fitments create more than just a jacking point.
